Reconnue pour ses propriétés antioxydantes et son action protectrice des membranes cellulaires, elle est utilisée pour conserver les préparations à forte teneur en huiles car elle évite leur rancissement. La vitamine E est également reconnue pour ses propriétés hydratantes et pour son action sur la microcirculation cutanée.
